Observations of technology in small and remote communities

Over a number of years communities have adapted or been forced into adapting technologies that are intended to better their lives.  Additional benefits is that they increase productivity, enhance the flow of information, create additional economic opportunities.  Conversely, there are also unintended drawbacks to technology;  loss of aboriginal languages, increased health and social issues, change in culture and increase in activities normally associated with urban areas.

Note that this is the writers personal observations and opinions.  It is also the writers first attempt at documenting the changes he has seen over the years.
